    Hello,

We have encountered another issue with this plugin and how it collects data. A few weeks ago, we had to switch over our Global Tracking code to the one within this plugin, because without doing so, we would not have any tracking on our eCommerce side.

However, once we did this, there was a significant drop in total traffic to the site according to GA. We ran audits to see what the issue could have been, but have had no manual actions taken from Google and our search visibility and relevance have remained constant. We have determined that since the decline began the day we switched over our tracking codes, that the Global tracker in this plugin has not been giving us the entire amount of traffic to our GA.

What could be the reason for this? Furthermore, is there a way to have another GA tracking plugin live harmoniously with your plugin on our site? One code to track web analytics and the other to track eCommerce. We had no issue doing this until we updated this plugin last month, but are now forced to only use the “optional” global tracking code in this plugin because without it, we do not get any eCommerce data whatsoever.

    Please advise.

    Hi,

    Thank you for writing us!

Ideally, it should not possible. Switched from Legacy GA tracking method to gtag.js will not affect anything in your data tracking because of it just a method change not the core level changes.

Our plugin will also track the Basic Analytics i.e Pageviews so there is no need to use other analytics plugins for that.

We’ll help you to troubleshoot the issue. For that, we request contact us at analytics2(at)tatvic(dot)com & share the view level access of your analytics account on the same.

    Hope to hear you soon!

    Thanks & Regards,
