Switched servers, lost content

I have a feeling someone can point me to someone else’s problem that I simply couldn’t find through a search.

We switched servers and I can’t seem to figure out how to re-post my blog content. All the registered users are gone, too.

We didn’t specifically have a backup of the blog content, but I do have a database dump given to us by the old server’s administrator. Is there a simple way to take this database dump and insert it somewhere in wordpress?

If someone could tell me the easy way, I would really appreciate it. Otherwise, I’m extracting the blog entries from the database dump and reposting them. I have a sense that alot of details will get lost this way.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
