• Hi,

Great plugin BTW – on paper, does exactly what I want it to do.

I’m running in to issues enabling user switching for other roles other than Admin though – I’ve read throughthe FAQ and read through a couple of others having the same issue, so have been through the process of adding list_users and edit_users etc as capabilities to the specific roles in User Role Editor, but this alone doesn’t work.

When searching for the switch_users meta to enable that capability per role in URE, it doesn’t exist, therefore can only use as Admin.

I added the plugin to another site to see if it would work on there – but it has the same behaviour, then tried another site – switch_users meta doesn’t exist, so can’t use for any other role on any of the sites I’ve tried on.

On final test i deactivated all plugins except URE and Switch Users, but still no dice.

    For clarity, I tested with:
    WP 5.5.3, WP 5.4.4 , WP 5.6.2
    PHP 7.3.2, PHP 7.4.2
User Role Editor (URE) by Vladimir Garagulya is also installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated to get it running for other roles.
    Kind Regards,
    B

Does URE give you the option to add a new capability to a role by typing in its name instead of selecting it from a list? The switch_users capability won’t be listed by URE by default unless it explicitly has support for User Switching, which I don’t think it does.
