switch to static page, moving posts page but keeping Themes auto-loaded elements

Hi i want to switch from my current blog format to a static screen, and move the blog posts to a different location.

the theme i’m using inserts a large slider as a header (for featured posts) and our sidebar. When i move the posts page it drops the sidebar and the theme’s large slider.

is there any way i can keep the home page exactly as it is, but move it to a different directory?
