    The message:

“You are using the old PayPal Smart Checkout option in the “Simple Shopping Cart” plugin. Please switch to the new PayPal PPCP option for better security and functionaliy.

Switch to the new PayPal Commerce Platform API by configuring the API credentials”

Just won’t go away even after we have successfully switched to the new PayPal PPCP option. We click x to remove it, but it just keeps coming back when we go to another page on the backend of our WordPress website. How do we get rid of it?

To clarify, “Enable PayPal Commerce Platform Checkout” has been checked as active, and we have filled in the “PayPal API Credentials for PPCP” for both Live Client ID and Live Secret Key (we did not fill in Sandbox API keys because we don’t need it).

So what else do we need to do to make the message go away? Thank you

Is your server using database caching which is retaining the old data in the database? So the database is not overwriting with the updated state/status of the Smart Checkout settings option. Or the database is accessing a cached version (which is seeing old option value).

Ask your hosting provider as to how you can clean/empty any caching for the site so it is not having any strange behavior from old/inconsistent data.

Also, can you check to make sure you don’t have the following feature?Enable PayPal Smart Checkout?enabled? If you do, please disable this feature and then click on?Delete Token Cache?button option. Then check to make sure the warning message is no longer displayed.

Let us know if this helps you.

    Kind regards.
