Today I moved my site (www.gibbontravel.com) from wordpress.com hosting to self-hosted platform via BlueHost and the www.remarpro.com install. That part is fine.
However, now when I want to log in to my dashboard, I keep seeming to get the old wordpress.com login. Is this the same? Or should I be expecting something different??

Try logging in at https://www.gibbontravel.com/wp-login.php directly.

It still looks the same as when I was still logging in to WP.com (blue-colored dashboard). Is that normal? I seem to remember it being a black-colored dashboard when I initially set up my WP.org….

After you log in at https://www.gibbontravel.com/wp-login.php you’re sent to WordPress.com?

How long ago did you change the domain’s name servers?

I just checked your WHOIS record and your nameservers are with Blue Host.

I also did an IP lookup and your IP address for your site: 162.144.22.81, is pointing to a Blue Host IP adress.

You should be all set to login now. I see in the footer of your site that your theme points to www.remarpro.com and not wordpress.com, so it seems like the Colorlib theme you have installed is at the new host.

Assuming you changed the name server very recently, when a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, your domain may go to its old location, and you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors.”

If you still have trouble viewing the site after 48 hours have passed, please try clearing your browser’s cache.

If that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache: https://support.opendns.com/entries/26336865-Clearing-the-DNS-Cache-on-Computers-Servers-and-Web-Browser
