• Hello! I am new to blogging, and need help with a mistake that occurred. Yesterday I went on www.remarpro.com to get started setting up my blog. I clicked on the BlueHost set up, but it directed me to .com instead of .org! Now I don’t know how to switch over. I haven’t done anything on the .com site so there are no files and nothing written.
I sure hope someone can help me.

  • www.remarpro.com should show up anywhere on your site. www.remarpro.com provides a software for you to use on your own domain and site. If you are ending up at wordpress.com, then you may need to change your NameServers to point to BlueHost’s NameServers.

If you still have problems, list your domain name here so I can look at it. Also explain what your site is doing, and what you might be expecting it to do.

Thank you for your reply. Now I am wondering how I can tell if my site is using .com or .org? when I set everything up I got an e-mail message that said welcome to wordpress.com.
I haven’t added any wordage or photos to my site yet until I know what I have. The domain is savorysnippets.com. At the bottom right corner there is a link for www.remarpro.com. Because it’s there, does that mean I need to download it in order to get it?
What I’m trying to achieve through my site is a daily newsletter, affiliate links a shopping cart for future e-books.
I sure do appreciate your help!!

www.remarpro.com is a publishing platform. You have to download it and install it on your web server (on Hostgator, Bluehost etc). You can directly install it via your cPanel.

WordPress.com is using WordPress platform (multiuser) to give you a free blog. If you are going to use WordPress.com just register there and then buy a domain and use it with your WP.com account. Now for this you don’t have to buy any hosting.

Now as you are going to create an affiliate site with shopping cart WordPress on your own hosting is your only choice.
Just buy a hosting and update the nameserver and then install WordPress via cpanel.

    Thanks for the reply.

So if I already have the domain, and already am set up with BlueHost, there is where I am confused. Does this mean I have www.remarpro.com already?

Can you explain what you mean by update the nameserver.

From where did you get your domain?
If from BlueHost then do the following…

    Login to yourdomain/cpanel
    Click on “fantastico”
Click WordPress from left hand menu
Click on “New Installation” ( Under the big heading “WordPress”)
    Now Do the Following:
Install on domain: Select Your Domain Name
    Install in directory: Leave blank
Admin access data: Type a Username and Password
Admin Nickname: Put yourname or admin
Admin e-mail (your email address): Your email ID
Site name: Type your site name
    Site Description: Tag line

Done. click install WordPress and then finish installation.

Log in : go to yoursite.com/wp-admin
type the admin username and password.
    Complete.

Sorry, on bluehost you can install it by directly clicking on WordPress Icon under “Software/Service”

Thanks for your help abhilol. I am in the floundering stage!!!

I have set up and been blogging for several months on wordpress.com. Found out today that I can’t add plug-ins, shopping cart etc. Ideally I would love to just transfer my site as is to www.remarpro.com. Is this possible and if so, how do I do that?
PS. I’ve just spent an hour reading through the forum hoping to find the answer, but I haven’t. Thanks so much for your help

ESMI, am I to assume that the link you posted above will help me do what I’m wanting to do? Just want to make sure before I get busy. If so, thanks for your help. If not, thanks for the help you’re offering someone else. Haha

Yes, the link esmi pasted will help you. You will need to export your content from wordpress.com so you can import it into your new site once you have that setup.

If you do not already have it, you will need a web host, and a domain name (something like mydomain.com for example), and you will need a basic/new WordPress installation there. Then you can start importing your old content.

Sounds a little scarey, but I really appreciate the help. Thanks so much!

    Hi there,
I am trying to set up my blog with the www.remarpro.com software as well. I have uploaded my files on my FTP site and redirected my nameservers. My website now says it’s ready and successfully created and said I should replace the default index page with my own. However, I thought that one of the themes that are located in my themes folder would show up. And it is not. I also don’t know how to login to my administration panel from www.remarpro.com.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

ok, so i also have been looking at older forum threads and it says that i can login by going to

    https://wigwamshakti.com/wp-login.php

But I just get a message that says not found.

    Again, thanks!
