• I recently switched from Blogger to WordPress hosted through Go Daddy, I bought my domain two years ago and I was able to switch every thing over expect in the URL my blog doesnt show www. it just shows stephscheersandjeers.com. Is there a way to get it so in the URL bar is shows https://www., when you type it the full URL with www. it does redirect however I really need it to show up as a www.

Is there any particular reason for why you need the www?

www is an old protocol from back when everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc.

These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters.

If you really need to force www, check Settings -> General in your blog’s Dashboard and make sure that www is included with the two URLs there.
