switch editor loader method (on)

Hi. I know that this is a temp page I am working with. I hope that that doesn’t hinder getting some responses to my question.
I migrated a site from Managed Word Press (GoDaddy) to Cpanel(also GoDaddy). The site on Cpanel won’t let me edit with Elementor. Only a blank white page. Manage Word Press runs on PHP 5.6 and that’s as high as it will go. Cpanel runs on PHP 7.1
So I found the Elementor setting under Advance to switch editor loader method (on) and now I can edit the pages. My question is: what does Elementor know about my server configuration that it is able to change so I am allowed to edit like normal?
And can I use the information that Elementor has to make changes on my Server so I can edit normally without switching the editor loader?
