    My theme is TwentyFourteen. When I try to add a SWF file in the right sidebar it rips through the top menu when the page is scrolled down. I have JPEG files (images) in the sidebar and they don’t go through the top menu when the page is scrolled down. How do you fix this?

    It is still covering the nav menu when the page is scrolled down.

    The SWF is in the content sidebar (theme: TwentyFourteen)

    How did you create the fixed nav menu? Did you add some CSS to fix it in place or are you using some sort of plugin to create the fixed nav menu?

    Open your site in Chrome, right-click on the nav menu (not on a menu item) and select Inspect element. Chrome DevTools will open on the bottom of the browser. Hopefully the nav menu element will be highlighted on the left pane. If not, it will be close by. See if there’s an ID assigned to the nav element. It will hopefully look something like:

    <nav id="primary-navigation" class="site-navigation primary-navigation" role="navigation">

    I had something similar thing with featured images I think but don’t remember what I did to fix it.

    I will check. I don’t recall doing anything to be honest but I will check now. I am not using any plugins for it.

    Wait, nevermind, I just noticed on my test site that the menu is fixed. Let me see if I can add a SWF file to my right sidebar to see what happens.

    This is what I have:

    I can tell you that in IE it rips through the nav menu while in Chrome it doesn’t, but when you scroll down it does not end at the footer, it just keeps scrolling forever into nowhere.

    Can you please write something so I know you are still here?

    If someone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

    I added a SWF to my right sidebar on my sandbox site. The movie scrolls under the menu correctly on both Chrome & Firefox. Unfortunately, I have an old version of IE here at work, so I don’t see what you are experiencing; I’ll have to wait until I get home & try it on another machine.

    I’m not sure what you mean by this statement:

    you scroll down it does not end at the footer, it just keeps scrolling forever into nowhere.
