Swatch linked product thumbnail with grouped product thumbnail in cart & checkou

Hi there,

I was wondering if it’s possible to switch out the linked product images with the grouped product image/featured image just in the cart and checkout pages. The site I’m working on sells a bunch of grouped products, which are technically single products, where the linked products are simply color variations of the grouped product.

On a single grouped product page I’m placing a featured image along with gallery images just for the grouped product. For the linked products I’m simply placing images of the color of each linked product as the individual featured image. This way the actual color of the linked products show up next the their respective names to make it easier for customers to see which color they’er choosing.

This works great on the grouped product page because the color of the linked product is supplemented by the featured image + gallery image of the main grouped product. This means, however, that on the cart and checkout page, I’m left with just a square image of a color next to each item. So back to my original topic, is there a way to display only the grouped product image for any linked product in the cart and checkout page?
