I tried to change the template of an existing page, by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/templates/apply-a-template/ But unfortunately, at step (5) after I click ‘Swap Template’, the window opens but it shows only 2 templates, though I actually have +10 templates in the editor. This issue has been ongoing for months, so I am afraid this is a general issue and not limited to me?.

I tried deactivating all plugins and health check, but no issues.

I use TwentyTwentyThree theme, with WordPress version 6.5.3.

    Potential solutions please?

The instructions you linked are from wordpress.COM. Are you sure you are not hosting there?

As far as I know, you only see templates matching the post type in the list. So if you only have 2 templates for the post type page, then you will only see these two. All others that exist next to them are assigned to other post types or taxonomies.

So if you create your own template, make sure you assign it to the correct post type initially.
