Swap short description with product description

Since woocommerce sets the product description as the meta description and our product description is located at the bottom I used javascript to switch their places. This seems to work when creating a product as the Yoast SEO plugin shows what’s written in the product description. But when the product is published it sets the meta description as the short description. Possibly because it is moved to where the product description used to be. Could I use hooks instead or change the class name?
