• I noticed an anomaly when adding SVGs as featured images using Gutenberg. It is not a fault in your plugin (rather, Automattic’s bizarre war on SVG). That said, I wonder if you could (or should?) address it with Safe SVG.

As you can see here, the SVG is overlapping other editor sections: https://snag.gy/XJmKth.jpg

It appears to be an issue with position: absolute; – when I untick that, it appears just fine.

I realize that this is not an issue with Safe SVG and I can fix it with CSS in admin if I really want to, but it would be nice if one didn’t have to on each site (and Automattic likely won’t fix it since SVGs are “evil”). This is mostly just an FYI and not a support question.

    Thank you,
    Daniel

    Thanks, @hendridm,

I’d looked into hooking into the REST API to make them work correctly, but hesitant to do too much work until Gutenberg is stable.

In the meantime, this is a great fix and I’ve implemented it in the latest release ??

    Cheers,
    Daryll
