Suspicious file within Shortcodes Ultimate

  • Hello,

    my hosting keeps flagging a suspicious file within your plugin:

    /plugins/shortcodes-ultimate/assets/js/ace/mode-php.js

    My website keeps getting suspended (my site was hacked a few times, and email spam was sent out from my domain by hackers) and that file may be the reason (as my hosting says).

    What does this file do? Can it be removed from the plugin?

    Hello,

    this file is bundled within ACE code editor library and used for code highlighting.

    If you’re not using Shortcodes Ultimate: Maker add-on, you can just remove that file.

    This is not a malware or something dangerous. Also, you can find this file at the ACE’s editor site – https://ace.c9.io/
