    Thanks for your question.

    I have done some testing of MLA in the WP multisite environment and as far as I know it works. If it does not, I will make every effort to fix it. Please give it a try and let me know if you find any problems.

    I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions about MLA in the WP multisite environment. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

    Thanks a lot for your kind answer!

    I’ve asked a lot of people but you are actually the ony that have answered back (for some other plugins). I’m very afraid of breaking something since i spent many hours now and buikding my multisite, so i’m very glad that you gave me this positive feedback. I will for sure give some feedback when i has come far enough to install your plugin. Lots of work to do still and right now im making some reseach about a plugins that could be sued for my site.

    Again thanks a lot!

    I have a multisite setup with 20 sites. At the moment i would have to setup MLA in EACH site. that sucks. would be more than awesome to have one global setup for MLA in one place so that every site uses those settings. Is that possible David?

    @nicmare,

    The current MLA version doesn’t have any special setup code for multisite installs. Your idea for a global setup feature is interesting and I will look into it for a future MLA version.

    In the interim, you can use MLA’s Export/Import All Settings functions to make setup a bit quicker. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab and scroll to the bottom of the screen. Click the “Export ALL Settings” button to generate a settings file. You can find the file in the /wp-content/mla-backup directory. If you copy the file to the corresponding directory in each of your sites you can use the “Import ALL Settings” button to load the settings into each site.

    As I said in my earlier post, I have done some multisite testing but not much beyond that. I welcome any suggestions you have on improving MLA’s multisite support. Thanks for your interest in the plugin.

    + 1 for that idea.. ??

    I use multisite also. I would like to have all my subsites share a common media repository that works across all the places in WP where you can “add media”. I understand there are complications to this, but if anyone can do it, it would be amazing.

    With MLA v2.21 released I am turning my attention to future versions.

    I have set up a new multisite test system and would like to follow up on you interest in possible enhancements. Your ideas are interesting, but of course the devil is in the details. I invite you to send me your email information so I can continue the discussion in a more convenient medium. You can use the Contact Us page on the FTJ web site:

    Thanks for your interest in this promising area of MLA development.

    Hi angrywarrior,
    I am currently using this plugin for my multisite. It is working perfectly.

    I did some multisite testing recently and discovered that the MLA export/import settings feature works pretty well for replicating settings between sites in a multisite install. The settings file directory is “global” to all the sites in the install, so no file moving/copying is required. Every settings backup file appears in every site’s list of files for the import operation.

    If there are other MLA enhancements that can make your multisite experience better, let me know.
