Hi quantum88,
I’m so sorry that you had such a negative experience with us. I personally check our WP Mail SMTP support inbox multiple times a day, and can assure you that we reply to every single message we receive within well under 24 hours.
And so it’s extremely concerning that you didn’t see a response from us.
I tried to locate a message from you based on your username, and believe I may have found a match. If the ticket I found is correct (here’s a screenshot with all personal information blurred out), then we received your email the night of August 5th and replied first thing in the morning on August 6th. In this case, my best guess is that your email provider in some way blocked our response.
When you get a chance, would you please send an email directly to [email protected], including an email that we can CC in our response? That way we can better ensure that our response gets to you successfully.
And in case it’s more immediately helpful (assuming that I located the correct ticket), here’s the main contents of Sanjeev’s response:
I apologize for any trouble. From the error message it seems you’re not configuring the SMTP settings correctly. Please make sure the SMTP host is email-smtp.us-west-2.amazonaws.com and other SMTP details. You might need to contact the email provider to get the correct values.
Alternatively, you can use API based Amazon SES mailer. This will be more secure and also often does not encounter such issues. In case it helps, here’s our tutorial for setting up Amazon SES mailer: https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-set-up-smtp-using-the-wp-mail-smtp-plugin/
