Support good for response – Don't support formats they say

  • This plugin is nice UNLESS YOU HAVE iOS customers – the only format that it supports on iOS is mp4 in h265 encoding. I did not find this out until after I paid them and their support just said “we only support his format” when their description clearly states otherwise. It lists all kinds of different formats that it supports and specifically states that their player works on iOS. SO NOT TRUE!!!
    If you have multiple formats of videos then this is NOT the solution for you (or me). Looking to find another now – while I try and get a refund since they didn’t even offer a work around…

    By default, mobiles will display only HTML5 and not flash.

    HTML5 will support only the following file formats :

    MP4 with H264 (H264 is a codec format. Please visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC for more information)
    WebM (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebM)
    OGG (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ogg)

    So in order to display videos both in PC and Mobile it is better to have a common format. That is the reason we have mentioned that we should post MP4 videos with H264 codec format (Also called as HD Videos).

    So please use any video converter to convert videos to MP4 H264 format so that it can be played both on PCs and Mobiles. Our customers have been using handbrake and have been successful with it. Please understand that this is not a restriction from our side. It is just that HTML5 supports only these formats. iOS devices cannot play flash content and only HTML5 can be used. This is the reason we have this limitation.

    Also please note that we have mentioned that the FLV video plugin supports MP3, MP4, M4V, M4A, MOV, Mp4v and F4V formats. Unfortunately this FLV Video plugin cannot be used on iOS devices and is applicable only for PCs. So please understand that there is no false information on our site. We have just mentioned that our FLV plugin will support the above formats and we have also mentioned that it supports HTML5.
