Support Going in Circles – Refusal to look at problem
-
Unfortunately going on a week now of no support for urgent issue where WP Mail SMTP is not recording the correct timestamp in its logs for emails sent by Woocommerce. We’ve verified that the time settings in both WordPress and our Website have the correct UTC time and timezone set, yet all confirmation emails being sent by Woocommerce are logging as sent 7 hours earlier.
Crazily, 4 days of email circles with support where they merely keep responding “we’ve verified your time is set correctly.” DUH. We know that our time is set correctly. How about spending a minute looking at the actual problem, which is what we’re explaining about YOUR PLUGIN recording the wrong timestamp.
Then they vaguely blame it on Woocommerce stamping the email with wrong time. Well that makes no sense because YOUR plugin – WP MAIL SMTP – is the plugin in charge of sending the mail – it gets the mail from various WordPress plugins and it is the one logging it – so the bug is in WP MAIL SMTP not stamping the right time in the log.
However, day after day of circles with support and basic refusal to acknowledge or help find the problem.
Horrific support for such an expensive plugin (we bought the elite most expensive package!)
Next step is trying to get a refund!
