If Visual Compser uses a non-native WordPress interface for adding images then I’m not going to support it in this plugin. This is designed to extend the WordPress interface and not that of other software, so doing something like that just isn’t in the scope of this plugin.

    Cheers,
    Hugh

    Hi Hugh,

I’m not 100% sure about that, but it does use the same interface to select images form the media library. Here are just 2 screenshots of that image selecting process.

I see what you mean. I’ve never used Visual Composer, so didn’t quite know how it works. It looks like they have their own custom interface, but then they use the WordPress media modal on top of that. They do, however, create a custom modal so it wouldn’t be as easy to hook into inside a plugin as the core modal is, but it would not be impossible.

That being said, I am very unlikely to add support for Visual Composer into this plugin because if I did that I would also have to do it for the other page builder plugins that have their own interfaces and that’s not a rabbit hole that I want to go down.

I might look into this in the future, but it is highly unlikely.

    Hey, appreciate it Hugh!

Normally I would pitch to a Visual Composer developer, but the idea came from you so I wanted to shoot it to you first and see.

But I appreciate it, I can send the idea to some VC devs because it will be ideal to set featured images from the frontend editing interface, which seeing your plugin made me realize this has been overlooked in Visual Composer.

#Salute … again appreciate it. Thanks.
