Support for transaction fees

    Hi,

    We were previously using https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout – but we’ve been recommended to switch to this plugin.

    The previous plugin we were previously using saved the transaction fee details in to a meta field on the order (_paypal_transaction_fee).

    I’ve been trying to find something similar in this plugin, but I can’t. Is there any similar functionality in this plugin, or any plans to support it in the future?

    Hi @anthonywnz,

    This feature is not available yet in PayPal Payments, but we are working to add it within the next few updates. It is not yet fully decided when exactly though. But it will come bundled with more features that will help ensure the best possible feature parity between PayPal Payments and PayPal Checkout.

    Hi @anthonywnz,

    The fees are not yet going to be included in the upcoming update 1.7.0 but here is the relevant GitHub issue:
    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/issues/489
    If you’re interested, we could also provide a test package.
    But when the PR has been closed and merged, it will be included in the following update.
    So in the not too distant future, the meta can be accessed with _ppcp_paypal_fees.

    If you have any further suggestions or feedback, don’t hesitate to let us know or share a review about your experience with the community.
    User feedback is a tremendous help for us to develop the plugin in the right direction.
