Support for Sticky Posts

I placed an Owl Carousel in the template for my home page to display the 3 most recent posts. I want to show an older sticky post in the carousel (currently set to show posts in Date Descending order). Does Owl Carousel support prioritizing sticky posts? If not can this feature be added?
