Is the dsIDXPress plugin compatible with PHP 7.2, or are there plans to make it so in the near future?

I’m still running the site using the dsIDXPress plugin on PHP 5.6, and I’d like to make use of the improved speed and memory usage of PHP 7.2.

No response in two months, so I called Diverse Solutions Support and spoke to Ian. He told me the plugin supports versions 5.6, 7.0, and 7.1 of PHP, but 7.2 is not an “approved version” as yet. He said the changelog should include a notice when PHP 7.2 support is added.

I changed our dsIDXPress site to PHP 7.0.x, and so far, no errors.

PHP 7.0 is only supported until 12/3/2018, so it actually buys a month less time than leaving it on 5.6, which has support until 12/31/2018, but at least I’ll get the improved speed and reduced memory of PHP 7.0. PHP 7.1 would be a better option, since it’s supported for an extra year, but it’s not on our server.

It works for us with php7.2.

Good to know. Thanks for posting. I actually ended up adding PHP 7.1 to our server, and I’ve been running the site on it with no issues.
