• I have stayed at Old Nextgen version but would like to move to NextCellent Gallery – NextGEN Legacy which is basically the old Nextgen.

    I think NextGEN Gallery Optimizer actually works on this already? Maybe you could add NextCellent Gallery – NextGEN Legacy so it does not display that NextGEN Gallery is not installed on NextGEN Gallery Optimizer Premium Error Notification?

    Hey Bo,

    I’ve been looking at NextCellent Gallery myself, and I’m considering actively supporting it in Optimizer in the future. Currently, it should be fully compatible (save the plugin name check) as it’s essentially NextGEN 1.9.13 rebranded, but I’d need to keep up with changes as it evolves.

    In regards to the error notification, you can remove it by commenting out or deleting the last line in the main plugin file called “nextgen-gallery-optimizer-premium.php”…

    add_action( 'admin_notices', 'nggop_nextgen_installed_and_activated_check' );

    Alternatively, you could replace “nextgen-gallery” with “nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy” in the get_plugins() and is_plugin_active() checks in the function above it.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Mark.

    Hi Mark thanks for supporting NextCellent Gallery …i just ran a test on my site and nextgen 2.0 is slowing the site down big time …..way beyond any other plugins …so i’m going to NextCellent in hopes of bringing site back to reasonable speed …

    any chance of you releasing a fix version that checks for nextcellent?

    Hi @ds123,

    Full support for NextCellent Gallery will be included in the next major release of Optimizer, which I hope to have ready soon.

    In the meantime, I would suggest using the modification I’ve posted above to either remove the check for NextGEN, or to add a check for NextCellent.

    Cheers,
    Mark.
