Support for negative amount (discount / discharge)

  • Hi @maartenbelmans,

    Thank you for this great plugin, I love it!

    Do you think it’s a good idea to “allow” for negative amount/price?
    This is useful for “pre-made” products/packages with the option for customers to exclude some “add-ons”, which means the regular price needs to be deducted by specific amount.
    (the alternative approach is to make the extra options “selected” but this makes the product/item looks “messy” in the cart & order ESPECIALLY when there are > 10 options.
    However, with using “negative” value, only the unwanted options/add-ons will be displayed in the cart & order)

    Hope I’m clear enough in my suggestion.
    (I appreciate if you point me how I can do it myself in case this might take long time to release)

    I understand what you mean. It’s on our to-do list to be able to exclude options from being displayed in the cart. So for each option, you’ll be able to say whether or not it should be shown in the cart/checkout (even if a value was entered). Note that will be a premium feature.

    As for allowing a negative amount: this is something we want to look down the line at but is likely going to be a very big change so won’t be implemented any time soon.
