I’m using Genesis with the Dynamik Website Builder child theme. The child theme allows you to create essentially a widgetized home page. You decide the layout and fill in the content by dragging in widgets into widget areas named EZ Feature Top 1, Top 2, EZ Home Top 1, 2, 3, etc.

So they act just like widget areas but SWAN doesn’t show or reveal the widget area names for these widget areas. With highly widgetized layouts like this theme provides, it would be really handy to have the functionality that SWAN provides.

I don’t know if this would require an enhancement to your plugin or maybe just some kind of fix. Can you provide any help?

Thanks again for that previous enhancement. It made a big difference for me!

    Hi Steve,

Sorry I checked out for a while. I hope you are still using the plugin?

I haven’t used Genesis before so I am not familiar with the setup. I would love to get this working, but don’t want to drop the $ for Genesis and Dynamik.

I updated the plugin, and made a change to the filter callback. This may resolve the issue?

Thanks and hope this finds you well –

As a matter of fact, I’ve been using Dynamik with Genesis a lot more in the past few weeks.

I just updated the plugin on one of my sites after getting your reply today. It seems to work fine. On my widgetized home page using the “EZ home page” widgets it correctly identifies the header right, EZ home top 1 and 2, EZ bottom 1, 2, and 3, and EZ fat footer 1, 2, and 3. In other words, all of my widget areas.

I’m pretty sure this was working for me with these types of widgets before today’s update. I’m not sure if this change was for that purpose.

On another site I tried it with the previous version plugin and with today’s update. It works fine with any widget area that has a widget in it. Nothing is displayed in widget areas that are empty. However, the default text for the widget area and link to the appearance > widgets page takes care of that. In other words, normal.

So it seems that you addressed my issue with Dynamik somewhere along the line with one of your versions.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is still one of my “mandatory” plugins for all sites!

If you update or are running under 4.0.0 would you mind voting for Compatability for me? Thanks again and keep me posted if need anything?
