• I really like WP-Coder so far, and can see myself having quite a few of them in use in my blog articles.

Can you override the default Shortcode that is generated? It would be much better to allow

    [WP-Coder id=”widgetName”]

than just using 1, 2, 3, 4… maintainability is important and could reduce the amount of clicking around and scrolling through lists once I have accumulated a lot of them.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Hello.
This is possible, but it might be better to do a search by the title of the shortcode?
How do you look at it?

    Hi,

I’m talking about inside the blog post, where you invoke the widgets. If I have 5 widgets, let’s say, in a blog post, seeing:

    [WP-Coder id=”2″]

is not intuitive. Setting the ID = to the title, or title without spaces (camel case, or similar to how IDs are named in HTML) would be helpful.

Seeing id=”2″, if I revisit a post, I have to then go bring up the admin panel and cross check to find out which one that was. Obviously it’s easy when you only have a few, but I’m looking at down the road.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Thank you for your feedback.
We will do it in the next version of the plugin.
Have you any other ideas for improving the plugin?

Ok- cool! When will it be out, approximately?

I don’t have other suggestions right now- I’m still in the early stages of using it. But that would be super helpful.

    Thanks,
    Jeff
