thanks, I look after a community site, and about to add multi author blog, so this would be great for that.
I didn’t realise, but after reading your profile & website, I also use your darkelements theme on another site.
    Thanks again

    Hi,

Can you give me one of “your” plugins that already has support for the Members plugin? Because the topic from JT is already 8 years old.

ps. I’m planing to remove all themes from repository (it’s time to focus on something else), so don’t forget to update to most recent version before it’s too late

I wouldn’t worry about the age of the post. His information, coding and plugins are first rate.
I have also read somewhere else on his blog he will help plugin authors integrate it if required
Thanks for the heads up re themes

    Hi,

The Meteor Slides does integrate this in a very clean and simple way.

I will look into this next weekend, but I agree; this would be a nice addition.

    Hi again,

I have installed the Members plugin and checked info about integrating support for custom capabilities. It’s not as easy as described on that page; there’s much to do in order to fully support it.

So I’ve tested Members plugin with multiple user roles and noticed my events behave exactly the same as the native posts.. so if you set certain conditions for posts, they will apply to the events as well. Will this work for you?

    thanks for having a look.
I had noticed you had 'capability_type' => 'post' in your plugin file vsel.php, so it would behave exactly as a post, as you say.
I had hoped to use the members plugin to be able to have a custom role for a user to be able to edit posts etc, but not be able to edit events, and vice versa. With several authors on the site, I wanted to have a role where one user can only edit events.
