Folks:
Your customers (users) do not like Gutenberg to the tune of more than 5 million plus users.
Listen to your customers. They don’t like Gutenberg.
Perhaps the developers like Gutenberg but this is a classic way to lose customers. this is how you destroy businesses. Force things on your customers they don’t want.
Give people what they want. Don’t dictate to them what they must have.
Wordpress grew into standard using the classic style. Don’t change a winning game.
What is more important? Your developers’ convenience or keeping users? The answer is obvious.
If WordPress does not continue the classic editor and update it, I’m gone and quite likely I’ll be accompanied by 5 million others.
Furthermore, I want to concentrate on content … not spend a bunch of time I don’t have to go to Gutenberg. I spend too much time with technical stuff now. I don’t have time to learn a new editor which I don’t like.
Again, who is more important … your customers or developer convenience? Go only to Gutenberg and I guarantee you’ll destroy the franchise.
This is a licence to destroy the whole WordPress customer base and the program itself.
Seriously I’m gone if classic editor ends. I will not be person who turns out the lights at WordPress.
Abandon Classic and you destroy WordPress. Simple as that.
cheers
