Support additional data for Person schema

It seems Google has deprecated the “Person” structured data type. We couldn’t find any documentation that points to support for “jobTitle” or “worksFor”.

“Address” is supported via the LocalBusiness markup, however.

schema.org is the standard, but organizations (like Google) choose how to interpret and integrate it.

Aside from “Address”, Bing doesn’t seem to support these tags as agreed upon via schema.org, either: https://www.bing.com/webmaster/help/people-markup-86fb1ed0. They use “title” and “Affiliation”, instead of “jobTitle” and “worksFor”.

Ultimately, I’d like to hold out and see proof of the efficacy of this implementation before handing it out to thousands of users unbeknownst of its usefulness (and side effects).

In the meantime, you can supplement this structured data via Schema plugins, like the aptly named Schema.

I was assuming that schema.org was fully integrated by browsers, but if this is not the case, I think the current Schema.org Output Settings in TSF are perfect.

In fact, checking the Schema plugin, I have noticed that the “Person” structured data type only appears in Author pages, and in the case of one single user in a WordPress installation, I don’t see the point.
