Hi guys. Really love the plugin, but I think there might be someting that either has slipped your attention or maybe is a part of a future extention?

My shop is based on my local currency (NOK), but my purchases is either done in EUR, USD or JPY from my suppliers.

If I add a product with purchase price EUR 100, the product will come up with a purchase price of 100 NOK (and not EUR) in the product tab. The difference between 100 Euros and NOK is enourmous, and there shold really be no doubt about what currency is beeing displayed.

PLease advice how purchases in foreign currency should be handled, and also how the conversion between currencies would be best handeled.

Keep up the good work, really looking forward to furure releases!

    Best, Ketil.

    Hi there,

Thank you very much for using ATUM and for your post.

This is a very interesting instance and I will discuss it with the dev in charge of the WPML compatibility.

We will get back to you as soon as we can.

    Best Regards,

    Pavel

    Thanks.
Just for the record; WPML is not installed or used.

    Best, Ketil.

Update for users with similar request: There is a way of getting this done.

You will need WPML and WooCommerce Multilingual. When you look at setting up WooCommerce Multilingual there is a currency setup per language. So if you are ordering from a supplier that uses EUR, just setup another language, for example German. The system creates copies of your products in this language. You don’t have to translate the products of course, just change the currency in this language from NOK to EUR. Then when you want to create the PO in EUR, you just switch the language at the top of the page. It will point to the products with this currency :-).

ATUM should be fully compatible with WPML.

Hope you can set this up.

    Best Regards,

    Pavel

@stockmanagementlabs I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
