• I have a client on Godaddy (sigh). it took me hours to get a SSL cert installed and working – something that my other hosts like Greengeeks do free.
    Anyway, after installing the SSL cert and the free version of REeally Simple SSL, I still had some issues so I bought the pro version.

    At first I had a nightmare – I started a full scan and the whole site hung up and could not connect to the database. I checked the config.php file and there were no errors there. I checked on CPanel and resource usage was at 100% – memory and CPU – more hosting problems. So I disabled the plugin in CPanel and the site returned a minute or so later.
    I got SUPER FAST advice from the site authors – really excellent.
    Anyway I gingerly stepped through SSL reactivation, a basic scan etc and now everything works fine and the original problem is gone. Great plugin – great support.
