Superb plugin marred by dashboard popup spam

I love this plugin. This should be a default, core WP option. This plugin is that good.

However, everytime you create a new site and ativate this plugin the dashboard gets yet another dashboard spam popup:

Thank you for installing the WP External Links plugin!
Open WP External Links to manage your links, and configure settings.

Dear plugin and theme developers. We KNOW we installed your tool. We KNOW we can get to your settings to dial things in. Please stop building dashboard spam popups.

I wish THAT was a core WP feature. Zero Dashboard spam popups. Until then maybe someone can write a plugin that everyone can install that prevents WP dashboard spam popups and prevents the stacks of messages at the top of the dashboard about plugins that have been installed.

We KNOW we installed them! ??
