Super_User cannot Edit Administrator User Profile

No, it’s a single site. I’m going to try removing the super admin and create a new one. Is there a way to designate the super admin or is always only the “first” or “only” Administrator on the site by default? Thank you Kevin!

Also, I tried logging in as an Administrator (Level 10) and it shows In Capability Manager “Roles and Capabilities” that the “manage capabilities” ability is automatic for Administrator role, but can be turned on and off for the Super_Admin role. ?

Sorry, one more update. I’m not entirely certain why a non-Multi site had super_admin capabilities, but I had created a role entitled Super Admin because we also have Admins on the same site for which I wanted to “limit” certain capabilities. For now the answer was to eliminate the artificial Super Admin role and reset the capabilites so that Administrators have all the capabilities. But it’s odd that it all worked properly before the latest WP and CME updates.

CME 1.5.2 incorrectly treated a user as Administrator if is_super_admin() returned true. On single site installations, WP equates the edit_users capability to “is_super”, which is not what we want. It sounds like your configuration was relying on that bug.
