Super Easy to Use
-
Pros:
– Clean. Probably the cleanest and easiest recipe plugin to use. No need to embed your recipes in posts, etc…
– Hands down the sexiest template design. If you’ve seen the author’s past work, he is one hell of a designer. Unless you’re into bullet points and MS Word feel…
– Best User Experience. The plugin is built with VueJS, giving it a modern, app-like feel. You can drag/drop, slide… anything!
– Many interactive goodies. The recipe page is very interactive on the viewer’s side. Set timers, check the ingredients one-by-one, etc… Again, thanks to the VueJS framework.
– Surprisingly inexpensive! All features are included in a single price.
– Cooked Pro supports AMP! The author doesn’t mention AMP anywhere, but it’s included in the paid plugin! AMP is great for SEO.Cons:
I feel that several functionalities are still in BETA-mode. Author has spend a significant amount of work on a top-notch experience, however, certain basic functionalities like setting the image size, Cooked to Cooked Pro upgrade issues, and no place to add WYSIWYG code before the recipe, still persist. On the plus-note, I’ve been in contact with the Author and he’s been quick to respond and fix bugs. Why a 5-star rating
Despite lacking several practical functionalities, I’ve tested all recipe plugins and this plugin truly triumphs them all. If the author can take his time and work with the community, he will be lightyears ahead of everyone.I work in a network of top food bloggers. If the author is open, I’m willing to work with him on testing/optimizing the functionality.
