• Wow, it’s very easy to set up, very efficient. Make sure you check your spam folder though as this is where my test messages ended up. By default, when you receive a message to your preferred inbox, it will be as though it was sent by your website’s admin email, make sure to add it in the contacts of your destination email address if both are different. It may still be reported as potential phishing in my Gmail which is a little annoyance but at least it’s not going into your spam folder.

  • Hi @evetslefurax,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review!

You’re absolutely correct about how Gmail treats emails that have been received by your inbox with a matching “From” address. This is because they consider it unlikely that anyone would email themselves.

If your emails are going to the Spam inbox however, the best way that we know to improve email deliverability would be to use an SMTP plugin to configure the website to send authenticated emails.

When you get the chance, could you give one of these SMTP options listed in https://wpforms.com/docs/how-to-fix-wordpress-contact-form-not-sending-email-with-smtp/ a shot and let me know if you have any questions?

I hope this helps to clarify ?? If you have any further questions about this, please contact us if you have an active subscription. If you do not, don’t hesitate to drop us some questions in our support forums.

    Thanks you!
