Super cache seems to work great sometimes, other times slow site?

Hello,
After installing and activating this plugin, at first pages open very quickly ( 1.90 seconds ) before it was 7 seconds.
However, after a while pages are very slow again, although I did not make any changes to the settings.
Any ideas on how to get pages load fast all of the time?
