• Good day,
I have 2 questions, hopefully they will be fairly easy to use.
I have just installed WP and am playing with it for a potential client’s website.
    The questions I have are:

    1. Is there a way to have a “Super Admin” – ie somebody that has access to all the skins and options etc….
The reason that I want this, is that I will be doing some hopefully very creative skinning, and DO NOT want my authors getting into the options and messing with things after I have it setup.

    2. Is it possible (and I guess this kinda slips in there with Q1) to restrict an author to only the write/publish page.
For the same reasons as above.

The author must still be able to approve/delete comments posted by the general riff raff. But I don’t want my authors to be able to tweak the store without my permission (read as – Me actually doing the work for them)

    Thanks

    Andrew

  • Sounds to me link you would want to set yourself up as the admin and everyone else up as editors. Create a test account on your blog and assign it the role of editor…then login on the test account and see if this is what you want. Basically, an editor can do everything deailing with “content” and can’t do “admin” type stuff.

I’ll take a look at that.
