• We upgraded to 3.5 recently and since making the upgrade my Super Admin user account is not working as expected. Specifically:

    1. the Upgrade Network warning continues to display at the top of the page.
    2. Updating options in the themes or plugin pages does not save the changes.
    3. Many of the plugins do not display the data which is saved in the database as expected.

My gut says that it is a reading and writing to the database issue. However, in other Super Admin accounts, Administrator, and other security roles the issue is not present.

So, my question is where should I be looking for a solution to this type of problem.

I appreciate any suggestions as I have exhausted list of ideas.

    Odd…

Try removing that user as super admin, make some cheges as your other super admin, and then add it back?

    Hey Mika,

I like your suggestion and it sounds simple enough however this particular Super Admin account is assigned as the admin for all of the sub-domain sites (300+ sites). On occasion I have had to delete spammer accounts that have registered at a dozen or so sites and when trying to delete their account from the Network Users page it invariably results in a 500 server error. If it were only registered on a few accounts as admin I would have tried this before reporting it here but my guess is that I will get a 500 server error unless I remove it from each individual blog first, which is a mammoth task.

FYI – it is hosted on a dedicated windows server and I have full admin access.

If there is any other suggestions that don’t involve deleting and recreating the account I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Pat

Assigned as Admin to a specific site is not at ALL related to the Super Admin role.

Don’t DELETE the account, edit the user, untick the box for super admin. Has no other impact ??
