• I have had a website built by a company and the have failed on their part of the contract and i am taking them to court. They built the website using wordpress and i have Admin rights.

Does this mean they have Super Admin rights? Do all sites made have Super Admin because they have their name under users with mine as an Admin.

I need to know so when we go to court they will have to hand over the Super Admin name and password so they can’t access the website now our agreement has been terminated.

Not unless this is a multisite install.

Why not simply remove them as users from your site/network?

I logged in as Admin and removed his name but i need to know if he would have access as a Super Admin. He built one site for me and i just need to make sure that when it all goes south a few months down the track they can’t get in and do anything.

    Then

    1) Delete his account (you’d need server logs for court anyway, not WP, as it doesn’t log anything access wise).

    2) Change ALL your passwords for the server and WP.

    3) Buy your lawyer a beer.

    Good luck.
