• Dear All,
My client is running an html5 live website. I am asked to convert it into wordpress or make any other theme but in wordpress. I don’t want to disturb the live site also I want to install WordPress on live server to work directly on that server not localhost. What should I be doing?
    1. should i install wordpress on subdomain?
2.once the new site will be ready how i will remove the old site (which is in html5) and redirect users to subdomain which will be me new site in wordpress.

    Regards

  • Using subdomains is a common practice for new sites in development. Once you’re done with it, you can move the html5 site out of the way (don’t delete it, just move the files out of the way) and move the WordPress files in place. Then change the home and siteurl in the WordPress database.
