Suggestion on club membership plugin and simple ecommerce

Greetings, WP newbie seeking advice from experts. Briefly, the scenario is a yacht club membership database with the capability for members to purchase services, e.g. classes using ecommerce.

I’ve looked at eCommerce plugins e.g. s2Member but they all appear to be focused on storefronts and less about managing members.

I’m seeking architectural advice. For example, would using a membership database plugin and a separate ecommerce plugin be a good approach? Suggestions gratefully accepted and thanks for taking the time to read my post.
