• Great plugin, and works perfectly!

Is it possible to move the ‘Delete’ button to the top so we can easily delete email quicker?

Also, a bulk delete of mail logs would be very helpful too.

Thank you! We’re glad the plugin is working well for you. Moving the ‘Delete’ button to the top is a great suggestion, and we’ll look into making that change. We’re also excited to share that a bulk delete option for mail logs will be released very soon!

If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to reach back out. We are here and happy to help!

Is there any more news on the bulk delete of logs feature? The logs table in our WP database is now 1.8Gb, and it’s frustrating that there is no easy way to clear out email logs older than, say, 3 months from within the plugin UI.

Is it safe to delete logs directly from the wp_wpsmtp_logs table of the database for now, or do entries in that table have dependencies where this would cause a problem?

    Thanks

By the way, further to my last message, we see that the Solid Mail plugin is slowing down page loads on all wp-admin screens on one of our sites where the Solid Mail wp_wpsmtp_logs table is very large (>1Gb). It seems that Solid Mail is trying to run a database query on this table on every WP Admin page load, and this is causing long delays to page load where the log table is large.

We manually removed the majority of rows from the log table, and that has improved performance of all WP Admin page loads. But I don’t believe this table should be getting queries on every WP Admin page load, so you may want to investigate this.

Hi @marcusjwilson, thanks for the follow-up!

It should be fine to manually delete/truncate the logs database table and the bulk delete option should now be on the top part of the logs page: https://share.zight.com/geuDmkxO. Kindly update your Solid Mail plugin to the latest version.

Regarding your question about the logs query on every admin page load, I will check with our development team for clarification. I will get back to you here once I have their feedback.

    Thank you.

Many thanks – Yes, I see the bulk delete option, but we only see 20 logs per page, so I’m not sure if that will allow us to delete more than 20 logs at a time? We have 15,000 emails logged in the dbase.
