    Hi everyone,

Working on my SEO, I discovered that the site description on the header is H2 and not H1.

As a consequence, there is no H1 on the main page, at the exception of the sliders (which is quite another problem since having multiple H1 is very bad for SEO).

What do you think of my proposal for a further patch :
-Switching from H1 to H2 for sliders title
-Switching from H2 to H1 for site description on main page header
-Keeping H2 for site description on other pages

I can see that having no H1 is an issue, but this statement is probably not true:

which is quite another problem since having multiple H1 is very bad for SEO

    Hi @isentinel
    Thanks for this analysis.
I tend to agree with you with the fact that in some cases, the home page could not have a H1 tag, which is not good (no slider for example). Users have to be aware of that.
The switches you are proposing are smarts but, it might have too much impact on the Customizr user base right now. I am gonna think about it though.

Where did you find that having multiple H1 is very bad for SEO? Because I have never read that, but I might miss something as I am not SEO expert.

Well it was an advice from a webmarketing/SEO expert, but after a few researches here what it seems to be from Google point of view :

“It is okay, but do not over do it or Google will reduce your page rank because it will think you are spamming content. They apparently have gotten complaints about people attempting to put everything in the H1 tag to increase the importance of that content, and thus, increase page rank. Needless to say Google caught onto that quickly and now they look at that.”

Indeed, you may be right @nikeo and @andrew.

Thanks for clarifying this point @isentinel
