• Uh oh, here comes Doug with another suggestion… RUN, JEFF! ??

With the classic editor plugin, they have a setting to allow users to switch between the block or classic editor, and then on the pages/posts, they can switch between the two editor options.

I’d love to see Disable Gutenberg come with that same feature, if possible. Let me know if you need me to send you a screen shot or two (will do it directly).

    Thanks, Rock Starr!

Hey Doug, I appreciate the feedback.

I’ve looked at the on-page editor switching before and decided it’s not a good fit for the DG plugin. I think possibly some people would find it useful maybe sometimes, but from what I can tell it’s just not an essential feature. But of course, as you say the Classic Editor plugin provides that functionality, so definitely recommend if needed.

I tend to be pretty loyal (as you are well aware, hah!), so I wanted to approach you about this first. I ended up having to do the Classic Editor and Classic Widgets plugin as a temporary workaround for one of the sites I’m advising for. I’ll let them know that this will be a permanent thing and proceed that way.

For everyone else, this is just a unique situation. As we all know, WordPress configurations are not a “one size fits all” for everyone… I’m still *very much* a “Disable Gutenberg” guy over the other two plugins. ??

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff!
