I find your plugin very useful and powerful … except for one area! The handling of variations is frustrating and we’re finding if difficult trying to find a workable solution.

I’ve read the documentation about How to add only one variation of a variable product to your product feed however setting default options on all products is not a desirable option for our client. They have over 1300 products – they don’t want to set defaults for each one, and they prefer to not have defaults set on the products anyway for the user experience.

I have a suggestion for a different way this could be handled.

Would it be possible to add a setting into the plugin where we can include just the FIRST variation of each variable product when a default variation is not set? Or if that is too complex, then it could just be a choice between two options – either we choose default variations or the first variation to be included.

This could possibly be done by only including unique parentIDs for variations.

Would this be an option? I think it would significantly improve the ease of getting variations into the feed.

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. I’ll add your suggestion to the to-do list of our developers for them to work on. Unfortunately I can’t give you any timeframe as to when they’ll start picking-up on this as their to-do list is pretty long.

Thanks for your suggestion and taking the time to post it to us. Much appreciated!
