    Could you add Facebook comments import function to this plugin, so when someone leaves a comment on our shared post on Facebook, that comment automatically gets imported into a WordPress database? It would certanly help with an engagement on our websites and SEO, of course.

    To clear this up, I’m talking about something like these two plugins do:
    * Auto Post FB Comment
    * SEO Facebook Comment

    Those plugins are nice, but they stopped updating long time ago. Another thing with them is that they don’t import profile pictures. It would be good if you made this option somehow, but kept the users’ data and profile pictures, so the next time a user logins to our site, he will have his comments available to see/edit/delete, as if he left them directly on a site.

    Hi Kosta92,
    Thank you for the suggestion.
    If the user is not registered on your website and user is not confirmed data-transfer access its not possible to get User data from Facebook. We’ll think about this and find solutions to easier transfer and synchronize FB comments in WordPress database.

    We’ve been using this plugin on a large site with much success, it imports both comments and avatars:

    Right now there is a minor compatibility issue with wpdiscuz (comments appearing more than once) and we’re working to try to get it sorted out.

    Would it be possible to import Facebook username or ID into our user database, so when the same user logins through a Facebook login option, he somehow gets combined with the previously saved account? But, then again, our database would be filled with hundreds of different users and even more if our Facebook page is a big one. I just don’t know how that many users would fit on a limited MySQL database or on a shared hosting. That is the big problem. Maybe importing only like 10 comments per post would be enough to jump start conversations on our website.

    You could work with @john to support his plugin. I think that would be the easiest solution, because he already has a working plugin.

    Thank you for the plugin. I will check it soon.

    Hi @kosta92 and @john,
    Thank you for your suggestions and help to make this plugin better.
    We had no time to review all options with Facebook comment integration, we’re currently working on next versions. There are lots of things we need to read and investigate before answer on your current questions. We’ll check all those possibilities on beginning of the next month. Once we got more information we’ll let you know asap.

    Thank you!
    I’m eager to see what you’ll (hopefully) come with.
