Suggestion – disable shortcode button based on user level

Gah! Just spent 5 minutes typing up a well-reasoned plea for a feature and bbPress chewed up my post! ?? Hopefully this will not duplicate, apologies if it does.

Would you consider adding an option to enable/disable the shortcode button that appears on the Post write/edit page for different user levels?

I run several multi-author websites and we don’t want non-admins to be able to embed WPTiles shortcode into their posts, yet asking them to NOT play with that button isn’t working well, invariably someone messes with it and then messes up the site layout.

I used to hide it with CSS but that is no longer working since I updated to WP 4.4.3, and not planning to update to 4.5.x anytime soon.

Thanks for a great plugin, I’d love to see this feature added in a future version if possible.
