With a large menu, with over 150 or so items, it’s quite cumbersome to add a menu one at a time and then search for it again to add it to a section. For future releases, can this be added to the menu item post such that when creating a new menu item, there’s a list of section(s) on the right, like Categories for Posts, with a checkbox to tick them.

Or, a drop-down list of a Section to add the menu item to, if the above is a PITA.

Well, it is done on the opposite way now: when you create a section you can select menu items for it. But it could be a good point to make it vice versa. Thanks for your idea.

I checked the plugin, and found no quick and nice way to add this feature. But I found another option that may be even better for you. Now you can quickly filter your menu items in the Section Manager. So, when you create a section, just go to the Section Manager and fill it with the menu items you need, and if you have a long list of items, just use a new filtering feature.

That way is very painful in terms of workflow, one at a time searching for 150 items, which I already had to type in one at a time…

Perhaps the path of least resistance to this would be to add a custom Note field to each Menu item, and show this Note in the Section Manager (or, better still, in the Section Manager, Group/Sort the items by this Note, so I can show/hide Groups, in the same way we can show/hide Menu Sections).

Well, alternatively, you can send me your patch, and I will apply it to the source.
