Suffusion header not showing

I know this has been answered already, but I have tried all the suggested ways to place my header in Suffusion, on static pages. The header is a transparent png, 1000 pixels x 195. I am using the gray theme and have made as a home page a static page. I selected ‘Custom’ under skinning, and asked for a foreground image, successfully uploading it. I also checked that the header image was not ‘hidden’ under the ‘Graphical Elements’ options. But, when I view my site, no header image appears.
